Property management committee (Accounting systems)

The New Software company started software development of accounting of municipal property under unique conditions. The customer - management committee municipal property (KUMI) of Administration of ZATO Zheleznogorsk.

Background

Customer representatives consider that practices based on MS Access do not allow to solve routine tasks any more, and ready-made products do not approach by a number of criteria. Need of development for the order, representatives of KUMI emphasize, it is caused first of all, existence of license fees, high to costs for maintenance and making changes, mismatch to requirements of information storage, remoteness of developer companies.

Some details of project implementation

The software is developed based on JBoss - the application server open source.

The developer assumes the following functionality of the developed product:

• general modules (access control, rights, functionality);
• managing modules (The real estate - the earth, residential/non-residential buildings, the separate, attached and built-in premises; Transport; Constructions - electric and heating systems, storm sewerages, highways, cemeteries; Accounting of the financial investments;
• the reporting module (report generation, statistical data by different criteria);
• the interaction module (data exchange with the municipal enterprises and organizations, carrying out reconciliations on the data provided by the municipal enterprises and organizations, etc.).

At the first stage it is going to create about ten jobs.

Opinion of integrator

The customer, and especially municipal entity, gets the mass of advantages. The most important is an effective use of budgetary funds as technologies with the open code do not require runtime royalty fees. The multi-user operation mode including remote will easily be organized. In the course of custom development we cave in under requirements of the customer and we create necessary product. The client does not break the built-up processes".

By a preliminary estimate development of a software package will be complete at the end of the current year. So far the staff of KUMI continues to work in MS Access.
