On October 10, 2024, Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk LLC signed an agreement on long-term cooperation with QRate (KuWright LLC) in the development and application of innovative products in the field of quantum communications. The signing ceremony took place in St. Petersburg.

According to the public relations and media service of Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk LLC, the document was signed by the general director of the gas transmission company Vladislav Borodin and the general director of KuWright LLC Alexei Fedorov. The agreement provides for cooperation on the use of high-tech products in the field of quantum communications, as well as the development of new specialized solutions for the gas industry in Russia.

QRate specializes in the development of complex software and hardware solutions based on quantum cryptography for information security. Before signing the agreement, testing of the technology was carried out, confirming its effectiveness.

Director of Business Development QRate Alexander Priyutov stressed the importance of the oil and gas complex for the country's economy and the need to ensure its safety at the highest level. He noted that the company's solutions will safely ensure the digitalization of Russia's strategic facilities in the long term.

Igor Asoskov, Chief Engineer and First Deputy General Director of Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk LLC, noted that the company ensures uninterrupted gas transportation to Russian and foreign consumers. He stressed that the successful operation of production facilities is achieved, among other things, through the use of new technologies and software products, with a key focus on domestic developments.

Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk LLC is a 100% subsidiary of Gazprom PJSC and operates gas transmission systems in 14 regions of Siberia and the Far East. The total length of oil and gas trunk pipelines in operation exceeds 13 thousand km. The company employs more than 10,000 people.[1]
