2020: Implementation of "1C:ERP Production Management 2"
Project Description
On November 18, 2020, it became known that the specialists of the Kazan office of 1C-Rarus completed the project for the implementation of 1C:ERP. Enterprise management "in the company" R.O.S.L.A. "In the unified system, operational accounting and management of production stocks in the warehouse and anodizing lines are organized. Minimized duplicate purchases of materials, which reduced the cost of them by 10%. Uninterrupted supply of andoronics lines with the necessary materials has been established. Processing and formation of production orders accelerated by 20%. Due to the introduction of characteristics in the NSI, it was possible to reduce the nomenclature directory by 2 times. Cost control has been strengthened, financial and management accounting has been optimized. In total, the system has 50 users.
As explained, the information system used earlier could not meet the requirements and was poorly suited for performing more complex tasks. The company has become necessary to accurately plan production processes on all automated lines, including to optimize the cost of production. It was not possible to quickly control the balances in warehouses. There may have been situations where the warehouse was overloaded with materials purchased without requirements, and the production lines lacked the necessary components to complete the current order. Regulatory reference information was not unified, which led to errors in the formation of orders for production and shipment. It was required to promptly receive information on financial results and management reporting. Prior to this, this process was carried out manually and the specialists of the financial department spent a lot of time collecting the necessary information, which, as a result, affected the production of finished products. The management of the company did not have enough prompt, complete and reliable information necessary to make informed management decisions aimed at improving the profitability of the company.
To improve the efficiency of the enterprise, the management of R.O.S.L.A. set the following tasks:
- Automate production processes taking into account inventory, specifics of anodizing lines operation.
- Accelerate the turnover of inventory and ensure that at any time production is provided with materials and customer orders with finished products.
- Automate the receipt of management reports and financial results in the context of divisions, areas of activity and anodizing lines.
- Optimize the accuracy of cost calculation based on the specifics of the product and production line.
- Organize warehouse accounting, including in the section of each anodizing line.
- Normalize NSI taking into account the maintenance of the nomenclature with characteristics.
To implement the tasks set in April 2019, it was decided to introduce the 1C:ERP Production Management 2 system. The implementation partner was the Kazan office "1C-Rarus."
Now the sales, warehouse and production departments work in a single system, with pre-configured business processes and access rights. Specialists can monitor the amount of products produced in real time. Thanks to the implemented AWS for working with incoming orders, managers can quickly form and transfer production orders, monitor their readiness, avoid delays in execution, and plan the utilization of production capacities. This made it possible to increase the speed of processing orders by 20% and significantly reduce the number of errors in their formation.
Accurate accounting of raw materials in the warehouse and anodizing lines is organized. Thanks to the updated functionality, users have real-time information about current material balances, accurately determine production requirements, and, if necessary, form orders to suppliers. This also made it possible to resolve the issue of overstocking the warehouse, due to which the cost of purchasing materials was reduced by 10%. Situations where internal raw materials are used instead of subcontracting raw materials and vice versa are excluded.
The accuracy of calculating the cost of finished products for each production line has increased. Thanks to the planned calculation, it became possible to calculate the cost of production on each line and when planning production, choose the most profitable option based on possible costs and other factors. This helped to strengthen control over the cost of producing anodized aluminum and increase the profitability of the enterprise as a whole.
A lot of work has been done to normalize the NSI. There were more than seven thousand items in the nomenclature directory that lacked properties and characteristics. This often led to errors in the formation of orders. By introducing characteristics and removing duplicates, it was possible to reduce the item guide by 2 times - from 7,000 to 3,000 items. The system implements distribution by item type and assigns each a financial accounting group that allows you to restrict an employee's access according to their role in the company.
The finance department has become available detailed reports on the income and expenses of the enterprise, profitability of sales, reports on the cost of production, management balance, etc. The management has real tools for monitoring the operation of the enterprise and timely making management decisions.
We understand that the transition to the 1C:ERP Enterprise Management 2 solution and its use as a key system for enterprise management was the right step. We were able to take our production management processes to the next level. The completion of the project and commissioning of the solution occurred in the spring of 2020, and we consider the close cooperation of our employees and 1C-Rarus specialists to be one of the important success factors. told Anton Kazansky, Development Director of LLC "R.O.S.L.A." |
