RFI Bank transferred a part of a computing environment to the certified cloud

On November 18, 2016 the press service of IT-GRAD group announced participation of the company in the project of placement of infrastructure of RFI Bank in PCI the DSS certified cloud.

Project Tasks

The main objective of the project – placement of a part of infrastructure of bank in PCI the DSS certified cloud of hosting provider for accomplishment of tasks using card processing.

We took out not all infrastructure in a cloud, it was expansion of already existing platform by partial transfer in a cloud of virtual services for which reliability and support of PCI DSS are critical. As our services are connected with processing of card data, it required protection according to the PCI DSS standard. When choosing provider we considered as far as requirements of PCI DSS can be submitted for outsourcing as much as possible. Today IT-GRAD – the only supplier in Russia who completely covers all volume of services in this area. We consume the maximum scheme PCI DSS with administration and management of virtual infrastructure. By search of the supplier we paid attention to reliability and communicated with clients of provider for receiving relevant and independent assessment. Further we are going not only to use service of PCI of a DSS hosting, but also we consider the possibility of transfer in a cloud of separate services for the purpose of duplication of a part of the existing infrastructure. Project Results

Carrying out in a cloud of IT-GRAD of a part of infrastructure – the next significant step on the way of project implementation. For November 18, 2016 IT-GRAD controls cloud infrastructure of the customer. RFI Bank consumes service of PCI DSS Compliant Hosting in the maximum format where enter:

• lease of the protected virtual infrastructure according to requirements of the PCI DSS standard for the IaaS model, including administration and management of this infrastructure. Within rendering service, IT-GRAD guarantees safe handling of payment cards, takes the responsibility for accomplishment of mandatory requirements of the standard, provides protection of cloud infrastructure.

Clouds, certainly, have the pluses and minuses. When there is something – good or bad – and quick reaction is required, we completely depend on provider of services. The supplier will how fast and qualitatively work, so quickly and qualitatively we will be able to provide the services. Our business directly depends on hosting provider. I will note that, working with IT-GRAD, we feel individual approach. And if there are difficulties or the moments requiring immediate actions, all issues are resolved in the shortest possible time.
