The Technoserv company announced on January 10, 2013 project completion on upgrade and increase in capacity of a digital program and archive complex of RT TV channel (before Russia Today). In the project the complete solution Oracle - Oracle StorageTek SL8500 Modular library system is used.
Solution
Within the contract Technoserv executed supply of equipment, installation and commissioning, including data migration on a new complex, provided training of specialists of the customer and will render further services in technical support of a complex.
The solution for upgrade of an archive complex of TV channel is constructed on the equipment of Oracle company - it increases controllability and performance. The general capacity of the delivered storage system and reservation of data is about 24 Petabyte and further it can be easily scaled.
System availability raised, management thanks to a software update of ACSLS became simpler, and the effective density of data storage increased by 10 times when preserving required performance.
