In Rainbow Electronics company the ERP system of "Oremax" is put into operation. The project covered more than 120 users and 6 cities in three countries.

Project Tasks

The Rainbow Electronics company delivers imported electronic components since 1992, constantly expands a line of the perspective components focused on dynamically growing scopes, performs the contract manufacturing executing both developments on requests of clients and own projects, is a distributor of such companies as Atmel, Radiocrafts, Nuvoton, VACUUMSCHMELZE and many others.

The nomenclature is extensive (more than 150,000 only of the current SKU) and includes complete and partial analogs of components. In the company there are established relations between divisions, the big distributed system of warehouses complicating accounting of logistic transactions. There are representations in the most significant regions of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus in this connection there are some features of commodity accounting.

Wide network of clients and suppliers, the complex logistic circuit, the state differences during the work of representations, profound communications between employees and divisions – all this required implementation of the ERP system which use would facilitate conducting business processes of the company.

Project Progress

The choice fell on the Oremax software product which allowed to perform implementation with maximum efficiency according to effective objectives. The program covers all basic processes of customer organization. The main functionality of a system allows to adapt easily it for accounting of features business of processes. The developer offers tools on modification of an initial system by the client, than actively used in Rainbow Electronics. Existence of such tools as macroes and the user procedures, the report generator allowed the customer's specialists to adapt as much as possible the software product to the requirements, without changing at the same time standard functionality that saved upgradeability of a system to the subsequent versions without any additional developments.

It should be noted that in Rainbow Electronics company very strong department of information technologies which accurately formulated strategy, the purposes and problems of implementation. Employees of IT department of Rainbow Electronics company, put a lot of effort for development of the specific settings which prepared the maximum quantity of information from earlier used system that allowed to start operation not "with a clean slate", and, according to the latest trends, relying on the current context that, certainly, simplified the beginning of operation of a new system.

One of the most difficult and serious problems of the client is accurate control of the movement of goods, including the loads which are en route. Thanks to the fact that in a system territorially extensive network is provided as a uniform organization structure automation managed to cover such transactions as movements between remote warehouses (including between the different cities and the countries), logistics management of the normal and consolidated loads, redistribution of goods and reserves between employees, divisions, transactions (depending on a priority of the client and within agreements with them), the analysis of the goods which are en route and establishment of a reserve on it.

In a company performance big percent of transactions makes deliveries to order when which maintaining it is important to have up-to-date information about clients, goods, possible conditions and delivery methods, routes. All this is also implemented in the standard block of the Oremax program. Also in a system there is an unrolled complex of properties and characteristics of goods and partners. To one type of goods there can correspond several price lists with scales of discounts. For each client it is possible to set thresholds of the credits, terms of payments, to regulate conditions of shipments. For convenience of work at execution of the transaction the delivery schedule considering terms of arrival of goods on warehouses of the company, its quantity, the client's wish is formed.

Now, when conducting sales the company has an opportunity to operate actively with conditions of deliveries since in the Oremax program there are several types of quotations suitable under these or those vendor relations and also delivery conditions of loads.

Besides, specialists of Rainbow Electronics by means of additional resources of development of Oremax managed to integrate a system with a large number of different services, including with the websites of suppliers for receiving up-to-date information under the terms of delivery and to existence of goods and also registration of the actions which are carried out by suppliers. All this allows to analyze information on partners and goods and to offer to clients the most advantageous conditions.

As for integration, the program is connected with 1C Accounting of the company and with online store of the website in which the complete information about quantities, characteristics and the prices is provided.

The implemented system provides simultaneous operation of a large number of users, at the same time for avoiding of armoring of the same goods or change of one document establishment of certain settings of blocking is possible. The staff of the company fully uses opportunities for document transfer, reserves, function of informing on the happened changes in the transaction (a goods receipt, canceling of a reserve, arrival of a load, etc.) is active. Such in-house documents as the preorder, the request for shipment, the acceptance act are used. The procedure of delivery of overheads and the subsequent their accounting is applied in the analysis.

Project Results

Upon termination of input of Oremax in operation the amount of time was reduced (in certain cases by 3 times!), spent for order processing, registration of movements and goods receipts, communications between departments and representations became more transparent. There was an integration with all services, necessary for work. And all this in the system which is not requiring the strengthened maintenance and laborious additional completions after updates.

Thanks to a tandem of developers and employees of IT division of Rainbow Electronics company the Oremax program was implemented and started strictly on the approved diagram, without failures. The program was positively apprehended also by non-management employees of the customer that is a big rarity.
