Red Media implemented a storage system

On March 30, 2017 the Raidix company and the supplier of complex IT solutions of SRV-TRADE announced end of system implementation of data storage for Red Media media holding.

Project Tasks

Among IT tasks of TV company there were a continuous broadcast and effective archiving of the video record. The storage systems used earlier detected bottlenecks at this or that technology stage and often did not provide necessary performance level. The system capable to guarantee quick access to large volumes of material with the minimum investments was required for IT service of TV channel.

Project Progress

In Red Media DWH with high capacity of storage (from 2U/48 TB to 4U/108 TB), a possibility of connection of additional disk shelves, high performance in RAID6 and RAID7.3, support of multiple video flows 2K/4K and full-fledged fault tolerance was delivered.

Project Results

The compatibility of the program Raidix components with standard component parts h86-64 allowed to optimize RAIDs under specific objectives of holding and to reduce the total cost of system maintenance.

· Data availability at the level of 99.9999 ("six nine").

· Efficiency at all stages of technology process: shooting, installation, recoding, broadcasting, archive storage.
