2025: Moving to Guardant Solutions
Renga Software has moved its software products to the Guardant SLK security and licensing system and Guardant DL software keys. The Guardant DL software key made it possible to build network licensing of the Renga system in the editions of Renga Standard and Renga Professional in a short time. The Aktiv (Active Software) announced this on March 3, 2025.
Network licensing is beneficial for organizations with a large number of employees who simultaneously use one product, but at different times involved in other work processes (for example, construction control, travel, etc.).
As of March 2025, more than 1,000 organizations use Renga Standard and Renga Professional BIM systems. Among them are design and construction companies focused on both civil and industrial construction projects, among which there are private and state organizations. The increase in the number of users in large customers required Renga Software to invest such product license management capabilities in product development that would allow users to be mobile; Reduce maintenance costs for licensed software Optimize software acquisition and maintenance costs Configure both local and network licensing capabilities protect software from illegal use (piracy).
Renga Software chose Guardant products for several reasons. Guardant products are well known to software developers. As of March 2025, more than 85% of the Russian market for software protection and licensing products belongs to the Aktiv Company (Guardant developer). The company plans to maximize the product's capabilities primarily taking into account the needs of Russian companies.
During the project, a modern and simple license activation system was implemented both on the enterprise server and on the user's computer. Now Renga Software uses software protection in its product, which provides network licensing capabilities.
With network licensing, license management is easier and more efficient, and users have timely access to the right product. It became possible to temporarily borrow a license from a common pool of enterprise licenses in the event of a business trip or work from home without access to the local network of the enterprise, placing a license in reserve for certain users for the possibility of continuous access to software. Also, the Renga system is similar to the protection and licensing system for ASCON products and the Dlavit consortium. This makes it possible to combine companies' products on the same software or hardware key when delivered to the customer, as well as supplement the keys of both types with Renga solutions.
