On December 21, 2020, it became known that the clinical use of the left atrial eye occluder, developed by Angiolain, began in Russia.

Use began at once in two Russian clinics. Occluder was implanted in 5 patients of the Republican Clinical Hospital in Kazan and 2 patients in the clinic of the Bashkir State Medical University in Ufa. All procedures were successful thanks to the support of colleagues from other clinical centers with extensive experience in implantation of such devices.
