Vokord implemented the 3D VOCORD FaceControl and VOCORD FaceControl systems in MSTU of N.E. Bauman

On November 6, 2014 the Vokord company and the Research and test center of the biometric equipment of N.E. Bauman started the joint research project with use of the innovative technologies of Vokord: systems of face recognition VOCORD FaceControl and VOCORD FaceControl 3D.

Goals and Objectives

The joint project with the Research and test center of the biometric equipment of N.E. Bauman (NIITs BT MSTU of N.E. Bauman) is intended for carrying out researches in the field of biometric identification of the person and also for testing in field conditions of ample and unique opportunities and functionality of an intelligent system of face recognition of VOCORD FaceControl 3D.

Project Progress

Within project implementation on the check point of the hostel of MSTU of Bauman the specialized stereocameras of VOCORD NetCam4 which are specially developed for the systems of biometric recognition and forming synchronized stereo pairs are set.

At appearance of the person in a control zone a system in real time builds 3D - reconstruction of an object. Besides, a system will recognize the persons which are already available in base and compares them to photos which contain in archive.

Also specialized cameras VOCORD NetCam4 mounted at a boundary with passability about 1000 people a day in the automatic mode select, photograph and save all new faces which came into the view of the camera then, within the joint project, this information is transferred for a further research to specialists of Research center of N.E. Bauman.

The intelligent system of face recognition of VOCORD FaceControl 3D, functioning based on the innovative technology 3D - machine vision, is among flagship products of Vokord company. One of the main advantages of this unique technical solution is its capability to work in the noncooperative mode (a system does not need "cooperation" of the person in order that truly to recognize it). The 3D VOCORD FaceControl system is developed for face recognition in places of mass stay of people, including in the subway, at stations, stadiums and at the airports.

"The research project organized by the scientific center and Vokord company, largest in Russia, implementing and developing innovative and disruptive solutions in the field of the video analysis, on the one hand, will allow to improve intellectual and technical capabilities of the innovation product VOCORD FaceControl 3D, and with another – to use the latest data obtained during the researches in scientific developments, – the technical director of the company of Vocord Alexey Kadeyshvili told. – It is supposed that project duration will be about half a year".
