Project objectives

Import substitution of the western BI-system Tableau.

BI System Selection Criteria

In the current conditions of economic turbulence and the termination of the BI-platform Tableau in the Belarusian market, the company faced the need to find an alternative solution for business analytics. Taking into account the importance of analytical tools for business development, the customer has formed a comprehensive set of requirements for the new BI system.

The criteria for selecting a new business analytical system were determined by the following requirements:

The selection process included:

  • analysis of 15 suitable potential solutions on the market;
  • testing of the two most promising platforms;
  • Quality assessment of documentation and technical support.

The key factors in favor of choosing the AW BI BI BI system were:

  • compliance with project specifications;
  • dynamic platform development, open road map;
  • availability of high-quality documentation;
  • The potential to scale the solution
  • no significant competitors in the Russian market among similar products.

Decision

The RIDOTTO team independently implemented AW BI and successfully implemented the integration of the BI system in-house, relying on technical expertise and a deep understanding of the company's business processes.

The system architecture is built on two reporting loops. The first circuit is management reporting implemented on the basis of Python scripts. This system is highly flexible and stable, meeting the needs of management units.

The main focus when choosing a BI solution was to create interactive reporting for external departments.

Result

Integrated data sources are built on the basis of an ETL process using ClickHouse as a central data store. The reports implemented include six key dashboards, two of which are under development. Particular attention is paid to reporting for new projects, where detailed analysis of metrics at the user level is required.

The current status of the project demonstrates the effective use of the system. There are plans to expand functionality and create additional dashboards for other divisions of the company.

The project started in February 2025 and continues to this day.
