2021: Rosgosstrakh improves employee interaction using the corporate portal on Bitriks24

Situation

Since 2005, Rosgosstrakh has used a corporate intranet portal based on its own development. By 2020, it is very outdated both functionally and in terms of design and usability. However, its modernization was considered impractical: improvements would be too expensive, and some changes are completely impossible due to the limitations of the system.

Project Tasks

  • Create a convenient space for collaboration and communication;
  • Increase the speed of reporting information to each employee and get the opportunity to quickly receive feedback;
  • Create a convenient document repository and file sharing tools;
  • Implement tools for issuing and controlling orders;
  • Automate processes related to requests for various internal services

Decision

The main phase of the project was divided into 2 stages: the first is the development of MVP for the quick start of the project and the benefit of the solution already in the intermediate stage. Skope was clearly defined and evaluated according to the Fixed Price model. At the second stage, EM Si Art specialists switched to Agile and thanks to this, they released updated functionality to the portal every 2 weeks and worked only on those services that were in demand by the end user.

Personal Profile

An employee's profile can have different types - it is influenced by several factors at once: whether he has a secretary, an assistant or both; whether a person filled a block about his key skills and hobbies or he chose to stay "in the shadows" and not describe his hobbies.

Calculation sheet

In this section, Rosgosstrakh employees can independently request and download a calculation sheet. The creation of the document takes no more than two minutes - after the creation of the settlement sheet, the employee will receive a notification with reference to the download. The document itself is not stored on the portal and is deleted after 30 minutes - this was one of the requirements of the information security department.

Requisitions and Services

A separate section of the intranet contains the service catalog. Convenient navigation helps you go from the drawer page to the target system - you do not need to separately authorize it. The application block includes 5 popular categories and links to commonly used services.

News

In fact, the Rosgosstrakh news section is a corporate magazine, and not just a list of announcements. At the top of the page is the main news, after it - 2 "sub-news," after them the rest of the content is tiled.

In addition to the internal news of the holding, industry news is available by category - they are prepared by the company's partners, announcements are uploaded to the portal through RSS.

The following sections have also been developed within the project:

  • Polls;
  • Live tape;
  • Jobs;
  • Orgstructure;
  • Vacation calendar;
  • Birthdays;
  • Telephone directory;
  • Bank of Ideas, etc.

Results

After only 3 months, the launch of the MVP portal for 13,000 Rosgosstrakh employees took place. The main focus is on providing easy access to information, developing interfaces and navigation. EM Art does not stop there and continues to support the portal - thanks to the product approach, ideas of improvements arise right during the project.
