In 2020, the company began implementing a project to automate electricity metering, which is being carried out within the framework of the Rosseti Group of Companies concept "Digital Transformation 2030." The first stage in the transition to intelligent energy accounting was the installation of smart meters. They allow the company to remotely manage electricity data: transmit current readings, give signals about a network accident or unauthorized interference. By the beginning of 2021, more than 280 thousand such devices were put into operation in the area of ​ ​ responsibility of PJSC Rosseti Kuban.

For more efficient management of intelligent electricity accounting, it was decided to modernize the 1C: Energy system. In it, the company historically keeps records of network equipment and electricity transmission, stores all regulatory reference information on subscribers, metering points and devices, and also manages mutual settlements for transit and with power grid companies.

Within the framework of the project, Edit Pro Group of Companies will establish data exchange between smart meters and a 1C-based electricity transport accounting system, as well as configure integration with consumer interaction services. Thanks to this, the energy company will be able to make the process of collecting readings from devices and forming bills more transparent, improve the reliability and quality of electricity supply to consumers, and reduce commercial losses of energy resources.

The installation of smart electricity meters is one of the most important stages in the transition of domestic companies to smart energy supply networks, or smart grid.
