Rosseti South and IVC are transferring the digital infrastructure of the energy company to domestic technologies

2021: Agreement on Cooperation on the Introduction of Russian Digital Technologies

On October 15, 2021, the general director of Rosseti South Boris Ebzeev and the general director of the Russian multidisciplinary company-developer of automated systems, platform-forming software and information protection tools Information Implementation Company (IVC) Grigory Sizonenko signed a long-term cooperation agreement on the development and implementation of Russian digital technologies in distribution electric networks of the South of Russia. This was announced on October 26, 2021 by the IVC.

The companies will jointly develop the digital infrastructure of Rosseti South using domestic technologies, software products and equipment. IVC will provide the development, design and industrial production of complex technical solutions for the corporate and technological segments of the digital control systems of distribution facilities of the Rosseti South electric grid economy.

Rosseti South is one of the companies building a technologically independent critical information infrastructure. The priority application of domestic software and equipment will ensure sustainable energy supply to millions of consumers in the southern regions of the country. We are confident that the measures envisaged by our cooperation agreement will help Rosseti South to form a technologically independent productive digital environment, " noted Grigory Sizonenko, General Director of IVC.

It is planned to integrate the solutions of IVC and other Russian developers into the digital infrastructure of Rosseti South:

• Russian operating systems of the Alt family, including a certified OS with a high degree of protection and an OS with the implementation of "soft" real time;
• means of protecting the perimeter of a critical information infrastructure facility;
• means for cryptographic protection of a communication channel between critical infrastructure objects;
• systems for monitoring and monitoring the state of data transmission channels and equipment of critical information infrastructure facilities;
• digital systems of substation and power transmission line automation equipment based on current microprocessor technologies and domestic software.
• software and hardware complex for process control of distribution substations of different voltage class 220 - 110 - 35 - 10 - 0.4 kV.

"Cooperation is directed to achievement of the main objective - creation of decisions, technologically independent of foreign producers, on the basis of full import substitution regarding the software and hardware and software systems for power industry. In addition, the interaction will increase the company's stability to external risks and will contribute to the growth of the share of Russian suppliers of electrical products in the market, "- noted the general director of Rosseti Yug Boris Ebzeev.

During the project, the IVC will carry out a number of scientific and development work on the development of software and the creation of software and hardware complexes and other equipment of digital control systems for distribution electric networks. The developed complex solutions will be deployed at "pilot" electric network facilities in the Southern Federal District for test operation. According to the signed agreement, IVC and Rosseti South will ensure the regular exchange of relevant practices and developments.

All design work will be carried out in strict accordance with Rosseti standards and regulations for digitalization.
