Rossko automated budgeting and sales planning based on PlanDesigne

The Russian distributor of auto parts of Rossko using experts of Budget-Designer company implemented the PlanDesigner platform (development of Softprom Group). Need of data integration in four different directions of business Rossko became feature of the project. The project allowed to lower time of purchase planning and drawing up budgets.

The decision on start of the project was connected with adoption of the development strategy Rossko which was aimed at optimization of accounting methods and commodity policy, and assumed including transition from a cash method to an accrual method. "Within the project on system implementation of budgeting it was necessary to consolidate data on four main activities of the customer and to construct a budgeting system and sales plannings so that the head of federal network service station could look and correctly plan the sales, and heads of branches and the commercial director who is responsible for all network of wholesale branches could work easily with data on the sales" — told in the company.

As the software package capable to solve these problems, the PlanDesigner platform — the program for medium-term enterprise management was selected. It allows to provide manipulation of big arrays of aggregated data in the multi-user mode. Using PlanDesigner it is possible to automate budgeting and strategic planning, mid-term planning, financial and economic modeling of activity of the enterprises, business performance management using KPI and another is much, noted in Softprom.

The solution was developed under needs of the customer by the partner Softprom — Budget-Designer company. Her experts using standard functionality of the PlanDesigner platform implemented an opportunity to generate reports by brands, marketing and commodity groups for Rossko. Besides, the customer had an opportunity to quickly prepare the consolidated statements. Also the functionality for viewing data on each of 33 cities at which there is a company was added. Separation into territories was carried out taking into account those indicators which top managers of Rossko wanted to see.

For project implementation the working group into which four specialists of Rossko representing the main activities of the company entered was created. System testing lasted about half a year: some algorithms of the solution were during this time finished. In October, 2013 drawing up plans for 2014 began, and at the end of December, 2013 all budget was completely created.

Besides, specialists of Rossko had an opportunity to receive objective estimates of what costs for each brand — this functionality was unavailable earlier as the boiler cost accounting method was used. The new functionality of PlanDesigner allowed to see what what goods of brands are most profitable at sale with what it is reasonable to carry out marketing actions".
"We only dreamed of an opportunity to see complete cost value of each brand earlier, and PlanDesigner allowed to realize this dream. Using the solution not only those problems which though it is difficult, but were solved earlier, but also those which were simply unavailable were 'closed'. Besides, very much it is pleasant to us that now the purchase plan forms clicking of one button completely automatically — Elena Kosilova, the head of the budgeting department of Rossko company commented on project deliverables. — We provided to experts of Budget-Designer of a formula on whom calculations were conducted, and they registered all communications in the PlanDesigner system. Besides, we wanted to see complete cost value of our products — not only purchases, but also transportation and advertizing costs. At the same time information representation in PlanDesigner differs in nothing from the ERP system: reports are output in that type which is necessary to users or the management. All this allowed us to reduce time for the procedure of planning which occupies about half an hour now though earlier month was required".

In plans of Rossko — increase in number of users of the solution and also implementation of UPE (Universe for Performance) — the platform of new generation representing a wide range of possibilities on enterprise management business process automation.
