2024: GitFlame Licensing Plan
Innopolis University will provide Rostelecom with software for storing source code. The university announced this on December 11, 2024.
The parties agreed to supply a license to use software for storing repositories with version control of the GitFlame source code as part of an industrial partnership.
The software code storage and version control system supports the ability to store and track changes, restore previous versions, create separate code branches and merge them, as well as configure repository environment variables. GitFlame provides ten functional services that provide distributed storage, command-code interaction, CICD, support tools, search, and system access.
GitFlame has extensive capabilities for controlling code versions, as well as ensuring high reliability and security of information storage. The system provides access to advanced developments in the field of information technology and provides developers with the ability to jointly distribute teams. I am confident that the transition to the repository created at the Advanced Engineering School of Innopolis University will significantly increase the efficiency of processes, ensure independence from foreign analogues and speed up the introduction of innovations at Rostelecom, said Iskander Bariev, director of Innopolis University.

The version-controlled repository storage system is one of the main elements of the modern software development pipeline. For Rostelecom, the transition to GitFlame is a strategic step in choosing a domestic platform for the joint development of IT projects as part of the ongoing import substitution process in the group of companies, noted Kirill Pikhtovnikov, Deputy General Director for Production - Technical Director of RTK IT.
