Rostelecom and administration of Yekaterinburg will cooperate on the projects "Electronic Government"

The macroregional branch "Ural" of Rostelecom company and city administration of Yekaterinburg signed the agreement on cooperation within project implementation Electronic government and Information society and also the organizations of interdepartmental and inter-level interaction for the purpose of quality improvement of the electronic services rendered to citizens by local government authorities. The signatures under the document were appended by the head of administration of Yekaterinburg Alexander Jacob and the acting as the vice president — directors Rostelecom Urals Sergey Frolov. Yekaterinburg is connected by one of the first cities in Russia to uniform infrastructure of Electronic government, says Rostelecom.

The unified solution of a regional segment of infrastructure of Electronic government implemented in Sverdlovsk region by macroregional branch "Rostelecom Urals" is the cornerstone of cooperation. In the area the necessary equipment is already installed and configured, communication channels are organized, integration of regional and municipal information systems and resources is carried out, 25 multifunction information terminals — infomats are installed (from them 8 — in Yekaterinburg).

As noted, features of the solution proposed by Rostelecom company are compliance to the uniform technology policy accepted for creation of federal infrastructure of Electronic government and also observance of all necessary requirements for information security and personal data protection.

Sverdlovsk region by the number of the registered users on the portal of state services (more than 34 thousand visitors) takes now the fourth place in the country, reported in Rostelecom. High positions managed to be reached thanks to activity of the Ekaterinburg Internet users whose number in an all-regional indicator aims at 70%. It is expected that interaction of city administration and Rostelecom will allow residents of Yekaterinburg to get in short terms access to municipal services by means of the uniform portal of public services.

"The principles directed to increase in level of transparency of work of the city authorities and service quality of citizens are enshrined in the agreement. The prototype of Electronic government began to form in Yekaterinburg beforehand. And today in the city enormous experience of creation of the effective mechanism of interaction of municipal authorities and the population is accumulated — the head of administration of Yekaterinburg Alexander Jacob said. — Therefore the conclusion of this agreement will allow our structures to implement more effectively actions of federal strategy for creation of a system of Electronic government".
