The Bank Rossiya bank implements Business Process Management Suite

Within accession of Gazenergoprombank Ltd to JSC BANK ROSSIYA the Intersoft Lab company carried out implementation of the uniform data warehouse to JSC BANK ROSSIYA.

Background

JSC BANK ROSSIYA initiated this project at a stage of preparation for accession of Gazenergoprombank to provide timely release of the consolidated obligatory reporting for the Bank of Russia reflecting indicators on the new enlarged structure of bank. As a project IT basis the bank selected the data warehouse Circuit from Intersoft Lab company. Such solution was promoted by successful operation of this system in Gazenergoprombank within several years.

Solution

In the beginning the 3-month pilot project for the purpose of minimization of possible risks which can arise during the forthcoming project works was performed. "Pilot" provided: deployment of the data warehouse Circuit of version 3.1 on Oracle 10g DBMS; data collection from the core banking system IBSO, setup of procedures of cleaning and data validation for correctness; setup of test set of 11 report forms for the Bank of Russia; refining of labor input of process of collecting of primary data in storage and personnel training of bank.

Within the large-scale project implementing IT support of accession of Gazenergoprombank Ltd accounting data from the core banking system which is operated in JSC BANK ROSSIYA bank, and the core banking system of Gazenergoprombank were consolidated daily data loading about clients, personal accounts, accounting entries of head office and 15 branches (including the former Gazenergoprombank) from the core banking system in storage is provided.

Results

The project in JSC BANK ROSSIYA is implemented in 3 months (plus 3 months of previous "pilot") and came to the end according to the planned term – accurately by the time of accession of Gazenergoprombank.

The bank had following features:

• create three types of the obligatory reporting in one BPM system: the final reporting of Gazenergoprombank Ltd, the introductory reporting of the reorganized JSC BANK ROSSIYA and the consolidated statements of bank;
• centralize process of formation of the obligatory reporting and issue it correctly, and in conditions when each of two banks still some time uses the different accounting systems, technologies and instruments of preparation of the reporting;
• further to automate all packet of the reporting for the Bank of Russia on the basis of the uniform data warehouse (including daily calculation of obligatory standards);
• further development of a system (control automation by profitability, planning and budgeting and also other aspects of business management of bank on the basis of the uniform data warehouse).
