Russian Post started a marketplace in the mobile application. There are more than 2 million goods. It it was announced on September 18, 2020.
Within this project the Mails application became a show-window for goods of goods.ru, having allowed the buyer to order goods in "one window" and to select a delivery mode. Under the terms of the arrangement, Russian Post renders logistics services, including a fulfillment (acceptance, storage, a complete set and packaging of goods), delivery by the courier or to post office.
The project startup was preceded by the pilot starting since the beginning of 2020 and covering restricted audience. By September 18 the marketplace is available to about 15% of users of mobile application to iOS and Android. They can receive the ordered goods in departments of Russian Post and using a courier delivery. Within a month service will be available to all users of the application.
The show-window is available in the section Goods. To open it, users of IOS need to update the version of mobile application, and users of Android will get access to the section automatically. Having pressed the Goods button, it will be possible to make the order as which operator the marketplace of goods.ru which will also be responsible for a customer support acts.
Partners intend to be engaged in improvement of functionality of a show-window taking into account experience of customer interaction. What opportunities will be had by service in the future, is not specified. The commodity show-window should become an important part of a digital ecosystem of Russian Post, added to the companies.
According to the message on the website of Russian Post, from January to September, 2020 the number of active users of mobile application grew by 16% and made about 3.6 million people a week. The number of the sendings issued online on the website and in mobile application of Russian Post in a year increased by 10 times.[1]
