November 19, 2015. ELAR corporation announced the project of digitization of documents of fund No. 89 in the Russian State Archive of the Contemporary History (RSACH).

The Russian state archive of the contemporary history in a project deliverable received the electronic images of originals of documents of fund No. 89 integrated with index data in the technology database in the MS Access format, for loading in the information system, representatives of the company integrator reported TAdviser.
"These documents from different state and departmental archives were declassified generally in connection with consideration in the Constitutional court of Case of the CPSU within May-November, 1992 by the special Commission on archives under the President of the Russian Federation. Materials of fund are demanded by historians and researchers who will be able to work with their digital copies in the electronic reading room of RGANI now. Digitization gave the chance to provide one-time access to materials to users and archivists without any limit", - the associate director of the Russian state archive of the contemporary history Dmitry Bolshakov comments on project deliverables.
"The regulated book cradle of the scanner allows to transfer originals up to 10 kg thick to an electronic form. Sheets in affairs can be put, bent, broken off, the line of a bend – shabby, edges can be uneven or fragmentary as it was with a document file of fund No. 89, – the digitization expert of ELAR and to the scanning equipment Alexander Kuznetsov tells, – but clamping glass with automatic adjustment of pressure force smoothes the original. And the firm ware of the scanner allows to remove from the image of distortion and to adjust uneven lines".
