2021: Results of pilot projects on conversion to unified format of data exchange in electric power industry
The system operator of the unified energy system (JSC "SO UES") on December 10, 2021 presented the results of pilot projects for the transition to standards that ensure unified data exchange in the electric power industry (standards of the GOST R 58651 series - information model of the electric power industry or CIM, Common Information Model), which started at the sites of three subsidiaries of PJSC "Rosseti" in 2019.
As part of the pilot project, the task was set to transfer part of the information exchange in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Energy of Russia dated 13.02.2019 No. 102 "On Approval of the Rules for the Provision of Information Necessary for Operational Dispatch Control in the Electric Power Industry" to a new unified format corresponding to GOST R 58651. The transfer to common standards will form the Unified Digital Model of the Unified Energy System of Russia, which opens up new opportunities for business, including:
- reduces the cost of implementing new information systems and reduces the time for their implementation,
- Increase automation of business processes
- Reduce the cost of data engineering
- Ensure the integration of information systems developed independently by different manufacturers,
- increase information availability, reduce dependence on a particular software manufacturer,
- create domestic software that is competitive in the world market.
Work on development of CIM-model of JSC "SO UES" has been carried out since 2012. We launched the appropriate platform and integrated data from our systems. Further, pilot projects were launched with large players to lay the foundation for the transition to the implementation of a common model throughout the industry, and companies continue to work on the implementation of the principles of one-time data entry, "said Roman Bogomolov, director of automated control systems at SB UES JSC. |
As of December 2021, representatives of participating companies of the experiment announced the need to develop methodological materials for creating information models necessary for operational dispatch and operational-technological management, the need to develop CIM competencies and determine the procedure for obtaining information on objects of an external network (owned by third parties). The plans include additions and clarifications to the existing GOST R 58651.1, GOST R 58651.2, GOST R 58651.3 and GOST R 58651.4.
After the "debugging" of the information exchange, both the transmission of information and its analysis are significantly simplified and accelerated compared to transmission in traditional formats * doc, * xls, * pdf. The human factor in transferring data from one information source to another is excluded. Of course, there remains a human factor in the primary input of information. However, the use of data alone in many processes allows you to quickly identify and eliminate errors, - summed up Roman Bogomolov[1]. |
