2023: Oracle Primavera P6 replacement move with Advanta system

In connection with the departure of foreign companies from Russia to NIIK, the question arose of finding a replacement for the ORACLE PRIMAVERA R6 calendar and network planning program. The Russian ADVANTA product allows you to work in a single information space with tasks and a database for project management, as well as promptly generate reports in the context of projects, deadlines, labor intensity, profits and costs. Advanta announced this on March 10, 2023.

As part of the company's import substitution strategy in various areas, including project management, a search was conducted for a Russian analogue. After careful market analysis, the choice was made in favor of the Russian information system for managing portfolios, projects, resources and finances ADVANTA. It has advantages over PRIMAVERA in availability, is a comprehensive project management system and includes: calendar and network planning, resource management, project execution time control; budgeting of projects (budget of income and expenses, budget of cash flow).

In addition, ADVANTA meets several other important criteria:

• variability of reporting and import/export in different formats;
• integration with other software used in NIIC;
• formation of various interactive analytical panels - dashboards;
• communication between users: conducting discussions on any system object, downloading and agreeing on documentation, issuing tasks to executors, generating a performance report;
• technical support in Russian and joint development of the system with the vendor.

All of the above will preserve the existing project management functions and will have a positive effect on the quality of the work performed by the company.

As of March 2023, ADVANTA at NIIK is at the stage of completing the adaptation and adjustment of the system prototype.
