ELAR delivered the planetary scanner in the Ryazan regional universal scientific library of M. Gorky

On February 27, 2019 ELAR corporation reported that it performed delivery of the planetary scanner for creation of high-quality digital copies in the Ryazan regional universal scientific library of M. Gorky (ROUNB of Gorky). The Russian scanner of ELARSKAN A1 is intended for digitization of the different large-format documents sewed and the embroidered originals, materials of big weight and thickness. The cultural and educational and scientific institution of the Ryazan region is going to transfer the rare editions relating to book monuments to an electronic form.

On the website of organization the Electronic directory including for February, 2019 more than 700 thousand records and the Digital library more than 3000 editions containing the digitized documents and the periodical press from fund of rare and valuable editions and local history depositary is available. Books of the XVIII or first third of the 19th centuries belong to especially valuable: "Universal arithmetics" of N. Kurganov of 1757 of release, "The historical dictionary, or sokrashchnny library …", left in 1790-1798 as the annex to "The Moscow sheets", "Ancient Russian Vivliofika" 1788-1791, other rare copies which laid the foundation for formation of book fund of the first public library of the Ryazan region.

Acquisition of the scanning equipment solved problems of digitization of rare editions of a big format.
