2024: Implementation of Digital Stability Inventory Monitoring System

In the Branch of JSC SO UES, the Voronezh RDU put into commercial operation a digital system for monitoring stability reserves (SMZU) to control the maximum permissible flows of active power (MIS) in the controlled section of Liski. The SO UES announced this on August 9, 2024.

Through 220 kV power transmission lines (overhead lines), Donskaya - Liski No. 1 and Donskaya - Liski No. 2, which are part of the Liski controlled section, power is supplied to the Southern Energy District of the power system of the Voronezh Region and the Eastern Energy District of the power system of the Belgorod Region.

The use of digital SMZU technology will increase the maximum permissible flow of active power in the controlled section of Liski to 6% by up to 25 MW, which will ensure more optimal use of the transit capacity of 220-330 kV between the power systems of the Voronezh and Belgorod regions, - said Natalya Panova, director of the Voronezh RDU.

During 2025, the Voronezh RDU plans to introduce digital SMZU technology for two more controlled sections of the region's energy system.

2020: Set of measures for the introduction of digital systems for monitoring sustainability reserves

Specialists of the branches of JSC SO UES "Joint Dispatch Department of the Power System of the Center" (ODU Center), "Regional Dispatch Department of the Power System of the Voronezh Region" (Voronezh RDU) and "Regional Dispatch Department of the Power System of the Lipetsk and Tambov Regions" (Lipetsk RDU) implemented a set of technical and organizational measures to ensure the commissioning of digital stability reserve monitoring systems (SMZU) in the United Energy System (OES) of the Center and Power Systems of the Voronezh and Lipetsk Regions. ODU Center reported this on August 12, 2020. Read more here.
