The Optima group announced in November, 2012 project completion on creation and implementation of the integrated personnel management system in Sakhalin Energy company — developer of projects on production and oil and gas sale. As the contractor the Optima Consulting company — structural division of the Optima group which provides full range of services in the field of management consulting and implementation of information systems acted.

Optima Consulting started cooperation with Sakhalin Energy in March, 2010, having won an open competition on providing consulting services on support of system implementation of SAP HCM. Within this project specialists of Optima Consulting should replace the outdated system of manual introduction of data with the new integrated system giving a broad set of opportunities for data exchange in real time that excludes duplication of works and minimizes an error probability at data exchange.

Before the customer used 8 different databases and information systems, namely: MS Office, pension plan of "PU-5", SAP HR Shell People, information system "Atlantis", automated system of the accounting/movement of visa documents, SAP FI, base of the summary. All these systems were not connected among themselves by automatic integration that created a number of difficulties, involved duplication and errors of input and also excessive labor costs, reported in Optima.

"We tried to make so that lifecycle of a new automated system of Sakhalin Energy lasted as long as possible — the director of management of corporate sales of Optima Consulting Alexey Abuzyarov noted. — In particular, we provided a possibility of that the staff of HR department of our customer could change and improve processes according to development of the company without essential costs for adaptation of IT infrastructure".

In addition, it is expected that implementation of the automated control system for personnel based on the module SAP HCM in Sakhalin Energy will provide effective management of personnel will open additional opportunities for implementation of distance learning, costs planning on personnel, electronic document management, infrastructure management, visa support and certification of jobs.
