2021: Delivery Automation
On August 11, 2021, Antor announced a project to automate the delivery of fresh vegetables and salads in Salateria.
Salateria is part of Dmitrovsky Vegetables, an agricultural holding that supplies fresh vegetables and salads to the Moscow market and the region. The unit is responsible for processing and preparing products for sale. The daily shipment volume is about 400 tons, and the number of delivery tasks can reach several hundred. Among the company's partners are the largest retail chains and HoReCa.
Demand for the delivery of fresh food during the period of universal self-insulation increased several times. So, in the category of vegetables and salads, even a year after the peak of the pandemic, online sales growth is 115% year-on-year. This trend also affected the volumes and frequency of shipments by manufacturers.
Due to growing demand and stringent requirements to comply with the "time windows" for the delivery of vegetables and salads, at the end of 2020 negotiations began between representatives of Salateria and ANTOR on a project to automate the construction of optimal routes. The Division logistics was guided in its selection by user feedback and real-time benchmarking. It was difficult to make a positive decision against the background of the unsuccessful experience integration of the decision of another supplier.
Implementation and training of users were carried out during the spring of 2021. After putting the program into industrial operation, additional scaling of the project is expected, since in six months the planned delivery volume increased another 2 times from the level at which it was at the start of the project. Automation of the construction of optimal routes will allow Salateria to prepare for any changes and confidently increase the volume of delivery of vegetables and salads, guaranteeing consumers the freshness and quality of products.
