Sberbank in 2015 will purchase the IBM WebSphere DataPower complexes

On March 12, 2015 it became known of signing of the agreement by Sberbank on delivery of the IBM WebSphere DataPower complexes to the amount of $11.7 million. The supplier Merlion company^[1].

Sberbank selected the winner of competition on supply of equipment of IBM WebSphere DataPower and its expanded warranty support.

The Merlion company will act as the supplier of Sberbank concerning the hardware and software systems IBM DataPower - during 2015 the bank at the fixed dollar prices will be able to buy "gland" for the amount within $11.71 million.

Project Progress

According to the results of tender the conclusion of "general agreement" for one year is provided. During this period the bank (including all its Russian branches) as required will be able to place separate orders for acquisition of IBM WebSphere DataPower at the fixed prices. However, this format of arrangements does not oblige the partner to redeem the equipment in full of the maximum cost of the agreement.

Warranty obligations of the supplier are expected one year, however this term will begin to be calculated from the moment of signing of the delivery and acceptance certificate of products.

The program of expanded maintenance of the supplied equipment provides fault recovery within six hours from the moment of receipt of the corresponding requests. The contractor should locate a sufficient reserve of spare parts and materials and to take part in works on integration of serviceable products with the equipment and software of the third firms.

The preset system software is a part of complexes. Its support should include the quarterly analysis of the program corrections (patches) and the wired programs (firmware) released by the producer, their installation at the customer. At the request of the last the contractor is obliged to take part in design of changes in the operated systems.
