Sberbank implements technologies of biometric recognition of swindlers

On January 27, 2014 the Technoserv company announced project completion on expansion of opportunities of Credit factory of Sberbank of Russia and implementing solution on the Kaskad-Poisk platform.

Project Tasks

Improving a fraud alerting system when crediting individuals, the bank ordered system implementation of identification of cases of forgery and forgery using technologies of machine vision.

Project Progress

Development on the platform of own product of Technoserv company – "Kaskad-Poisk" is the basis for the solution. Especially for Sberbank developers of Technoserv adapted a product to requirements and business processes of the customer, and the command of Reksoft company created the ergonomic interface.

The solution "Kaskad-Poisk" is integrated with the centralized automated system of consideration of credit requests of Sberbank and, functioning online, uses archive of photos of the borrowers who were earlier applying to bank for the loan, for detection of fraudulent schemes using high-quality forgery documents.

At the time of application for the credit the program on the basis of the picture of the person of the potential borrower builds the mathematical model containing information on geometry of the person of the client (a so-called metric template) and then compares this model to the templates brought in this or that selection, for example, selection "the stop-list of bank" or selection of the clients who came for early delay. Thanks to a number of the innovative solutions comparison on all bases takes place within several seconds (though each request is banished almost ten bases some of which have the size close to one million objects).

Project Results

For January 27, 2014 the system of face recognition is put into operation and helps to identify the persons manipulating the data at application for the credit or using forgery documents.
