Severstal gives more than 13 thousand units of computer engineering means to IT outsourcing

Background

In implementation process of a number of anti-recessionary actions for the purpose of cost reduction and increase in profitability of business structures, the management of JSC Severstal-Infokom holding transferred a row non-core service functions of workstations and the peripheral IT equipment to the external supplier.

Solution

IBS DataFort Cherepovets undertook functions of technical support more than 13.5 thousand units of computer engineering means, mainly workstations. Today services of the joint venture cover two plants of JSC Severstal: The Cherepovets plant of Severstal-metiz subsidiary company and Cherepovets iron and steel works entering the Severstal Russian Steel division.

Now the parties completed the period of approval of regulations of service and implemented processes for the subsequent optimization of work of IT infrastructure of the customer.

Opinion

The management Severstal-Infokom found strategically right tool for preserving of quality of service at decrease in volume.
