2021: Digitalization of an onbording of employees by means of the module "TalentTech. Adaptation"

TalentTech On March 4, 2021, the company announced that PJSC Severstal"," a steel mining and steel company, digitalizes the onboarding process of employees in production using a module. "TalentTech. Adaptation" The company plans to reduce the burden on HR managers and selection costs, increase employee satisfaction and the quality of tasks during the adaptation period, as well as reduce staff turnover.

As of March, the following results had been achieved:

  • It is made more convenient and interesting the process of familiarization for the employee through a flexible interface and competitive format.
  • The load from HR managers has been removed: now the employee's familiarization with the company's regulations, rules and detailed navigation are carried out inside the application.
  • The feedback collection process has been established: at the end of the first working day, after meetings with the manager and mentor at intermediate points, the employee completes the questionnaire based on the results of adaptation.
  • The application allows the line manager to see in real time the status of the tasks performed by the new employee.

Severstal experts note that it was important for the company to make the adaptation process simple and convenient for all employees. In TalentTech, they developed and castomized text and media content, then placed it in a personal account inside the application. While working with the application, the employee answers questions that help to understand whether he has learned the material well, whether he needs help. The provider also set up a regular feedback collection on the process, on passing tests and studying the company's internal systems (personal account, completing training distance courses).

In general, the employee goes through the following steps within the application:

  • Level 1 - introduction to the application,
  • Level 2 - information about the company, division, mission, values,
  • Level 3 - preboarding: employment information: documents, briefing, pass),
  • Level 4 - the first day (standards, SIZs, routes, tasks for the first 3 days),
  • Level 5 - first week (equipment location, workspace, adaptation plan),
  • Level 6 - first month (risk-free work, subdivision tasks, team structure, PSI),
  • Level 7 - totals (feedback collection).

In 2021, the company plans to scale the solution into 10 divisions, more than 1,500 employees will be adapted using the application.
