On October 06, 2015 the company AMT GROUP announced the project of the creation distributed DPC by request International airport Sheremetyevo. From integrator the project was strengthened by engineers of the companies NetApp and Cisco. As the technological solution a system is used FlexPod.
Project Tasks
Sheremetyevo uses DPC with the developed network and server framework for support of functioning of the airport, at the same time the equipment and applications are distributed on two technology platforms of different scale. For further development of IT services it was required to integrate two available platforms in uniform infrastructure of storage and information processing to provide the additional level of data protection using replication and a possibility of redistribution of loading.

When choosing the platform the customer held a reference point on:
- functional characteristics,
- compatibility of software and hardware tools,
- scaling options,
- total cost of ownership solution.
The best ratio of the designated criteria, according to the results of demonstration in Cisco laboratory, showed the solution FlexPod which was offered by AMT Group company. As a part of FlexPod the Cisco UCS servers, storage systems of Netapp and the convergent switching equipment Cisco.
The customer carried out multiple factor analysis of all competing requests for creation of uniform computing infrastructure and made a choice for benefit of the solution FlexPod.
Project Progress
Implementation was executed by specialists MASH and AMT GROUP with the assistance of engineers NetApp and Cisco.
In a project deliverable cluster systems of Netapp are placed in two DPCs, independent carried on distance in several kilometers from each other. Under each system separate virtual DWH – SVM (Secure Virtual Machine) which data are replicated on other cluster system is selected. Replication of data between DPC is executed on the operating IP channels.
Such scheme allows, in case of accident on one of systems, in a short space of time to start services in the next DPC and to continue work.
Use of the Netapp Clustered DataONTAP (CDOT) operating system gives a scaling option of the available clusters. The built-in means of CDOT help to distribute loading and to move data between the systems without stopping of work, to configure flexible politicians of QoS and to guarantee uninterrupted data access.
Monitors and managements facilitate work of specialists of IT department and accelerate daily transactions and implementation of new projects.
Project Results
The solution FlexPod on the platform of products Cisco also NetApp integrated resources of two DPC in uniform infrastructure of data management.

The round-the-clock support of the equipment and software is provided by engineering commands of Netapp and Cisco.
