The Siberian Cement holding starts implementation of ERP in management company

The Siberian Cement holding completes a stage of automation of production assets and begins implementation of the ERP system in management company. CORUS Consulting Group will deliver to the customer in addition 140 licenses Microsoft Dynamics AH. Total number of competitive users at customer company will be more than 470.

Previously

The implementation project of Microsoft Dynamics AX at the enterprises of "The Siberian cement" started in 2005. Before the holding had no uniform ERP system: work was conducted in separate local applications – different solutions on 1C and specialized production software were generally used. At upgrade of IT infrastructure specialists of the company were guided by the maximum standardization and unification of software and also by consolidation of the accounting systems of the enterprises in a common information space. Microsoft Dynamics AX selected on a ratio the price quality and the width of functionality.

Solution

External contractors were involved to the first implementation of Microsoft Dynamics AX at the Topkinsky Cement plant, but further the information system developed, replicated and supported by forces of an internal IT command. "We continue to develop independently our ERP system, without attracting external integrators, – the director of information technology of Siberian Cement holding Irina Zhuravleva comments. – For years of work the strong internal IT command was created: qualified professionals with deep understanding of business processes of holding".

New milestone

In 2012 the important stage of global automation of the enterprises of holding based on Microsoft Dynamics AX is completed – "the main frame" and a common information space on all key company assets is built.

"At the global level, implementation of Microsoft Dynamics AX allowed us to pass from separate annexes, lack of standards and manual work to unified information environment, regulations and unification. Besides, old infrastructure just would not cope with our scales: now the volume of the central database already exceeds 800 GB, more than 6 thousand operations a month are performed, - Irina Zhuravleva emphasized. - At the level of the separate enterprises and transactions employees also note significant results: for example, in supplying company "TD "Siberian Cement" Labor Productivity of Purchasing Managers Grew More than by 3 Times, and the Set-up Time of the Register of Payments the Next Month Was Reduced More than by 80%."

Objectives

In further plans of "The Siberian cement" - automation of management company of holding. During the new project the problem of consolidation of the reporting and budgeting of all enterprises of holding will be solved, providing availability and data transparency about key indicators of activity of all holding and each company separately.

"New licenses are purchased both for users in management company, and for the staff of affiliated enterprises – a system increases functionality and more and more staff of holding is connected to work in it, - Irina Zhuravleva noted. - With growth of scales of automation, number of users and tasks for further development we also plan involvement of young IT specialists. There are ideas on creation of programs of professional training together with technical colleges of the region and further employment at the enterprises of holding"
