Rostelecom implemented the public contract with the Siberian regional center Emercom of Russia. The national telecom operator integrated with the help to a virtual private network (VPN) of 217 different organizations and organizations of the Ministry of emergencies in the territory of Siberian Federal District. The right to the embodiment of this project was acquired by the Krasnoyarsk branch of Rostelecom as a result of an open electronic auction on December 26, 2011. Contract amount was more than 13.6 million rubles.
Within works Rostelecom created the protected departmental network at data transfer rate to 2 Mbps under the IP protocol and will ensure it round-the-clock operation during 2012 VPN channels integrated local computer networks of 217 objects of the Ministry of Emergency Situations located in different regions of the SFD in a common information space: Omsk, Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Irkutsk region, Republic of Buryatia, Republic of Tyva, Zabaykalsky and Krasnoyarsk Krai.
In Krasnoyarsk Krai 60 objects of department in 44 localities, including, General Directorate of Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia on edge, the Center of preparation and rehabilitation of rescuers of Ergaka, fire brigades, testing laboratories and educational institutions are connected to VPN network of the Ministry of affairs of civil defense and emergency.
The opportunities given by the national telecom operator will allow the mobile staff of the organizations of the Ministry of emergencies to get access to departmental information resources through the Internet. The created network will be integrated with a single virtual network of Emercom of Russia.
Implementation of this project directed to centralization of management of the communication system of the Siberian regional center Emercom of Russia will increase system effectiveness of operational management at reaction and emergency response.
