Sibur began using courier robots to deliver chemical products from production to the laboratory. The company told about this at the end of December 2022.

The pilot project was implemented at the Sibur-Khimprom enterprise together with the subsidiary of Sberbank - Sber Robotics Lab. Sampling of chemical products is carried out as follows: the apparatchik who plans to take the collection, using the application, calls the rover to a certain point. Rover says what time it will reach its destination. Then the employee puts the sample into the robot compartment and records the shipment in the application. At this moment, the laboratory assistant receives a message that the robot with the sample is already moving to the laboratory, and the application calculates the travel time. When the robot arrives, the laboratory assistant meets him, takes a sample and helps to get up on charge.

The use of the robot also speeds up work with unscheduled samples, since delivery robots work without a break for rest and lunch, noted in Sibur.

Samples with chemical products on the territory of the enterprise must be taken at least seven times a day with an interval of two to four hours and immediately delivered to the laboratory. Previously, flasks were transported by an ordinary car, and drivers participated in the process: they themselves took samples from special boxes into which they were put by apparatchiks. Regular collection of chemical samples at Sibur-Khimprom JSC helps to continuously monitor the quality of products: alcohols, foaming polystyrene, DOTF - at all stages of production.

The use of robots for internal processes is another step towards modern production. Thanks to the introduction of sample delivery robots, only certified employees now work, not drivers. The rover can be used at any time of the day, in bad weather, that is, robotics makes it easier for people to work at the enterprise.
