Strategy of digitalization for railway transport of Russia
According to the experts, in addition to reliability augmentation and cost reduction, digitalization on railway transport will allow to provide to Siemens passengers with higher level of comfort: the system of informing and help, broadband access in the Internet and entertainments, the automated payment collecting, video surveillance.
"Digitalization on railway transport is one of the most important tasks which it is necessary to solve the industries in the nearest future. Siemens designated a digitaliztion, along with automation and electrification, a priority of development of the business for a long time. In Russia in partnership with JSC "Russian Railways" we aim to develop the strategy of the digital railroad. We started the Center of processing and data analysis, received at operation of the rolling stock and in the long term railway infrastructure. We expect and to implement further innovations, to digitize processes and technologies, to increase comfort and safety of passengers" — Dietrich Moeller, the president of Siemens in Russia, the vice president of Siemens AG says.
Center of processing and data analysis
On February 3, 2017 Russian Railways (RR) started the center of processing and data analysis, received at operation of the rolling stock and in the long term railway infrastructure. The project is implemented by the German industrial giant Siemens.
The data center is created based on motor car depot "Podmoskovnaya" where diagnostics and service maintenance of electric trains Swallow is carried out. The new platform will allow to predict a status of nodes of the train, to raise degree of readiness of the rolling stock and infrastructure to operation and also to optimize operating costs and to pass gradually to "service on a status" (service corresponds to technical condition of trains and infrastructures).
The data coming to an intelligent system in real time will be analyzed and be transferred to service engineers. Thanks to it it is going to pass to automatic forecasting of technical condition of structures, to create recommendations for service engineers and also to reduce number of failures to the operating divisions of the Russian Railway and third parties.
Also will enter carrying out research works in the field of implementation of digital technologies for infrastructure number of tasks of the center of processing and data analysis and the rolling stock of public railway transport.
It is sure that the modern data center opened today will become an integral part of this large-scale project and will help our partner to carry out operational diagnostics and service maintenance not only the rolling stock, but also in the long term all railway infrastructure — the president of Siemens in Russia Dietrich Moeller says. — We are glad that Russian Railways will locate the advanced solutions and technologies in the field of service of trains thanks to which service on Situated near Moscow will correspond to world level. |
