Solvo and Infoskan implemented the universal measuring instrument of weight and dimensional characteristics of a load in the warehouse Sim Logistic

On April 12, 2019 the SOLVO company announced that in January, 2019 "SOLVO" and Infoskan completed the joint project on implementation of the automatic measuring instrument of weight and dimensional characteristics of loads Infoskan 3D, integrated with Solvo.WMS in warehouses of SIM-Logistic company in St. Petersburg and Moscow.

According to the company, infoskan 3D – the device for measurement of weight and dimensions of a load. The smart device transfers data of the barcode and weight and dimensional characteristics of a load to Solvo.WMS or ERP in real time. Automation of process of measurement of a load saves from introduction of data manually by the operator, excepting the probability of emergence of errors. Infoskan 3D is equipped with three sensors for measurement of dimensions of a load. The device is manufactured with a possibility of the choice of a method of measurement depending on the client's tasks: laser and ultrasound. Measurement range is from 10 to 850 mm, measurement speed: 1-2 seconds. Weight data of a load decide on the help of the weighing module from the Russian producer of electronic scales of MACCA-K. Range of measurement is from 10 g to 50 kg.

In screens of the Solvo.WMS system there is a special function "Request of Dimensions" which allows to select the supported physical measuring instrument from the list available – and by the Request of Dimensions button descriptions and attributes of packaging for required goods are autocompleted. Availability of the interface for work with the different systems of measurement of weight and dimensional characteristics of a load allows the operator of a warehouse at any moment and in any place of a warehouse to make a request for measurement of characteristics without need to contact the manager that does processes of acceptance, movements and shipment by more effective.

The system of measurement of Infoskan integrated with WMS Solvo will allow us to reduce significantly time of processing of goods, and the most important – to increase quality of measurement of veso-cargo characteristics of goods. SIM-Logistic is one of old clients of "SOLVO". The company has distribution centers in Moscow and St. Petersburg which are controlled the Solvo.WMS system on a cloud technology "A remote warehouse". This technology allows to work in situations when a server part is set in the centralized DPC, and client places can be distributed and physically be in different regions. Communication between regional warehouses and DPC is performed via the Internet on the protected VPN channel. Separate Infoskan devices 3D, integrated with Solvo.WMS at the same time work at each warehouse SIM-Logistic.
