On November 27, 2020 the WaveAccess company reported that it implemented multi-level integration of corporate systems of SAP and Dynamics 365 for SKOV.
According to the company, the integration executed using service Microsoft Logic App includes the following elements:
- ERP system of SAP 6.0,
- System of drawing up individual configuration of the solution and calculation of its cost of CAMOS CPQ,
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement,
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service,
- Proprietary mobile application for employees.
Such solution allows all divisions of the international company SKOV to optimize planning process and decision makings.
SKOV proposes the solutions for management of a farm and its climate intended especially for producers of pork and a bird. Engineers of the company often should leave on farms for check and hardware maintenance set at clients. In addition to own engineering command, SKOV also have accredited partners on places which are taken by engineering support of farmers in the region.
For collecting of requests from farmers and their distribution between own commands or partners SKOV used solutions of different vendors: SAP and Microsoft Field Service for planning, monitoring and management of the current tasks and also Excel-files and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement for management of client data. For financial the reporting the solution of SAP — DBMS on the basis of a relational data model which provides detailed breakdown of costs by tasks was implemented.
Projects and orders on work were stored in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service system which coordinates resources and processes. Draft copies of the project documentation were created in the CAMOS/SAP ECC SD system and further were consolidated in the uniform project in Dynamics 365 where lists of tasks with terms of accomplishment and an opportunity to appoint tasks to specific employees were formed. Engineers of exit service who are responsible for service and repair of the equipment used own portal for the reporting which was not too flexible and convenient.
Therefore the SKOV company aimed to integrate all used services in one platform to optimize transparency of planning and accomplishment of business challenges. Data integration between SAP and Dynamics 365 allowed to achieve this goal. For implementation of this idea SKOV addressed WaveAccess company.
The executed integration helped to eliminate dead time and resources on mechanical transactions — input and data collection from all systems. Now data from all systems are automatically synchronized in one place. Double-ended synchronization includes contacts, the current clients, projects, time management, orders and custom entities. All this is implemented using special approach to integration of SAP and Dynamics 365: twelve Microsoft applications of Logic Apps, on one on each process were developed.
Moreover, special mobile application for employees based on Microsoft Dynamics was developed that allowed to increase mobility of employees and efficiency of accounting. Now engineers can automatically make reports, polls, to fix data of inspection of the equipment directly from the mobile device, without need to write all data somewhere else and to return to office to enter them into the system. And integration of mobile application into the Dynamics 365 Field Service system allows managers to be aware always of all works within each project.
This platform allows to process requests to local service organizations, separate commands and employees. Now we completely control quality and timeliness of accomplishment of the requests arriving from our clients. Integration of two such complex systems as SAP and Dynamics 365, it was a difficult task. Thanks to efforts of a SAP command on client side we managed to implement seamless integration. In our solution the modules Logic Apps, but not the code are responsible for business logic — at the expense of it it is simpler to support all system. |
