Automated processing of the Sun InBev business in the rented storage complex of PLC (d Kazan.).

Smile Group, has been operating on the market since 1993, is the official distributor of Procter & Gamble (since 1993), Nestle (since 2000), Gillette (since 2006), Sun InBev (since 2006), Nestle Purina (since 2007), Upeco (since 2008). Smile provides 3PL services for OJSC Lebedyansky and M-Video. The company's territory of activity covers the republics of Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Mari El, Chuvashia, Udmurtia and the Kirov region, has a branch network in the cities: Kazan, Kirov, Ufa, Naberezhnye Chelny, Izhevsk, Bugulma, Cheboksary, Sterlitamak, Neftekamsk.

As part of the project, in February 2009, the automation of warehouse processing of the business of Sun InBev and OJSC Lebedyansky was completed on the basis of the Infor WM warehouse management system (EXceed).

During the project, an analysis and optimization of the commodity accounting and warehouse processing technology was carried out, a task was formed to finalize the information system. The reorganization of business processes has had a positive effect already at the stage of preparation for implementation, due to reduced labor intensity and increased transparency of accounting operations.

To process different businesses (Sun InBev - distribution, Lebedyansky - 3PL), integration is organized simultaneously with two corporate information systems: MS Dynamics Nav and 1C.

Taking into account the specifics of each business, a mechanism has been developed for automatically assigning warehouse processing strategies to new assortment items. Automation of this process simplifies the introduction of new product cards and allows you to work with a frequently updated assortment.

Infor WM manages the entire cycle of order preparation for shipment: selection, picking (packing), placement in the temporary storage area, movement to the shipping gate, loading into the machine, shipment. For all Customers of the Company, individual rules for selecting goods for shipment according to shelf life, method of picking and types of pallets were set, which made it possible to exclude the "human factor" and assign control over performance to WMS, while maintaining a flexible approach to the Customers' requirements. Depending on the Customer type and the business type, Infor WM applies different procedures for preparing orders for shipment. You use schemes with individual (one work order = one order), grouped (one work order = many orders, split selections by orders), and consolidated (one work order = many orders, with consolidated selections for each item) selections.

To detect problems in a timely manner, the system is configured to automatically send messages to the e-mail addresses of service personnel (and SMS messages), which is especially relevant at the start-up stage and at subsequent changes to business processes.

During the next stage of the project, the processing of Procter & Gamble, Nestle, Purina businesses at the new warehouse complex, to which Smile Group is moving in the near future, will be automated.
