The Eurasian Group (ERG) together with Redmadrobot Data Lab company developed in 2019 an intelligent system for increase in efficiency of processing of iron ore on Sokolov Sarbai Mining Production Association (SSGPO). In a year on SSGPO 40 million tons of iron ore, this largest production of Kazakhstan are processed.

When processing iron ore optimal performance depends on a right choice of the mode of water supply and ore in a rod mill, at the same time it is necessary to consider the size of fraction of the ore passing according to a tape of the pipeline.

The developed system in real time analyzes raw materials on the pipeline: using technologies of computer vision of the image from video cameras will be transformed to the structured data set reflecting particle size distribution of the arriving ore. Data retrieveds in combination with indicators of other sensors are analyzed using machine learning technology. As a result a system reveals the hidden dependences between different parameters and calculates optimum characteristics of work of the mills crushing ore and transfers to their control flow statement by technology processes.

"We work on projects within the concept long ago 'the Industries 4.0' — using deep automation, IIoT, artificial intelligence and machine learning. Thanks to high technology competence of our partners the created system will allow not only to save up new data on our production, but also to go further — to decision making model using artificial intelligence, further integration with the PCS systems", - Dmitry Karbasov, the chief of the department noted Industrial artificial intelligence of the Eurasian Group (ERG).

"We started several pilot projects of use of AI technologies for optimization of production processes. Also we are going to use methods of machine learning for further investigation of minerals in the Aktyubinsk and Kostanay regions", - the chief executive officer on IT of ERG Galymzhan Akhmetov told.
