The Sollers company completed implementing solutions of SAP at two car assembly enterprises in Yelabuga and Naberezhnye Chelny.
The Russian automobile company Sollers offers clients a full range of services in the automobile sphere – from production of machines before their sale and service maintenance. The structure of Sollers company includes own production assets (Sollers-Yelabuga, Sollers-Naberezhnye Chelny, the Sollers-Far East, UAZ, ZMZ), joint ventures with the international car makers (Fiat-Sollers, Sollers-FPT, Sollers-Isuzu) and also the service and retail direction. Total productions of the enterprises in Naberezhnye Chelny and Yelabuga approximately are 80 thousand and 75 thousand cars a year. As Strygin Ilya told at a press conference, the director of information technology of Sollers company, with the help of technologies of SAP (file) the enterprise implements the following strategic objectives: creation of a single system of product lifecycle management, implementation of project approach in management of difficult production orders, obtaining reliable information for consolidation at the level of holding.
Implementing solutions of SAP was originally implemented in production, consolidation at the level of holding is executed further. As a result of project implementation Sollers-Yelabuga and Sollers-Naberezhnye Chelny the first step in the direction of standardization of business processes is taken, the quality of reporting data is increased, the template of the solution for implementation at other enterprises of holding is developed. Besides, solutions for integration of SAP and PDM, SAP and MES are prepared.
Further at the enterprise implementation and integration of modules of project management into other modules of SAP, implementation of the single integrated NSI system, implementation of HRM functionality and also implementation of instruments of the consolidation and information processing generated at the level of business units of holding is planned.
Nosov Mikhail, the director of information technology Sollers-Naberezhnye Chelny, told about features of implementing solutions of SAP at the enterprise in Naberezhnye Chelny. Upgrade of production capacities and start of serial production of the Fiat cars belongs to premises of optimization of management. A main objective of the project – increase in transparency of business processes and efficiency of the company. The project started in April, 2007, and in December, 2008 start of a system in operation took place. In an operating mode the new solution functions nearly a year. In a system about 200 users work. The project was implemented by GMCS company (file).
Thanks to the system of expanded planning which uses Sollers-Naberezhnye Chelny the company can timely introduce amendments in the plan of setting of cars to the pipeline line proceeding from information on existence of necessary component parts in a warehouse. It promotes reduction of volume of work in progress and decrease in operating costs.
For the realization account in the system of the principles of lean production (lean production), Sollers-Naberezhnye Chelny had an opportunity to rationally distribute production capacities, to minimize stocks in warehouses and assembly lines, to consider unclaimed stocks. Further it is going to implement in a system a possibility of maintenance of different strategy of production, including production under the order.
According to Sergey Ovsiyenko, the manager of Accenture company, the contractor on the project in Sollers-Yelabuga, the decision on implementation of an information system at the plant in Yelabuga was made in May, 2007. Within the first stage of the project from January to August, 2008 the following tasks were automated: management of material flows, production management, sale, finance and management accounting, management of investment projects. A system was brought into trial operation in September, 2008, and in January, 2009 the main business processes of the company were transferred to SAP solutions. Now in a system more than 100 users work.
As a result of system implementation at the plant in Yelabuga the main business processes are optimized, the internal and external logistics is optimized, warehouse stocks are reduced, the performing discipline is improved, the quality of reporting data is increased. In plans for development of a system – creation of a budgeting system, implementation of functionality of SAP HR, creation of SAP Portal for support of sales to dealers.
At implementation the main functionality of SAP was generally used, the level of customization does not exceed 30%. Project completion at the level of holding is planned for 2013-2014.
