Rostelecom in Stavropol equipped an apartment house with "smart" video surveillance

On December 11, 2018 Rostelecom announced connection of a video surveillance system in an apartment house in the southwest district of Stavropol. For project implementation specialists of the company laid more than 3 km of communication lines and installed 39 video cameras on building perimeter, in the house adjoining territory and at each entrance.

Video surveillance works in the mode of the round-the-clock shooting, at night — with infrared illumination. The image from cameras registers and stored on a cloud platform of Rostelecom from 7 to 30 days. The wide angle of the overview, function of approach and removal, the motion sensor allow to receive the broad picture of the events.

Unfortunately, in our house there is no protection, the yard is not fenced and earlier it was necessary to fight by own efforts against thefts, damage of property and other unpleasant situations, however results were not. We together with residents decided to mount the cameras, and now are happy with video surveillance and an opportunity to keep everything under control. The service already showed results: we found those who took others things, did not inform of garbage a tank, and recently detected who constantly merged gasoline from the cars parked in our yard.
