The Tekhnoayti company implemented the solution Allied Telesis for network infrastructure of JSC Sredneuralskiy Copper Smelter.
Solution
At creation of JSC Sredneuralskiy Copper Smelter network the Allied Telesis switches with back supply of x610 series providing remote stacking and also optical SFP+ AT-SP10SR transceivers and the twin-axial copper cables AT-SP10TW7 were used.
Switches of the third AT-x610-48Ts/X level with 48 ports 1Gps, 4 ports 10Gbps provided reliability and simplicity of the solution thanks to Ethernet Protected Switched Ring (EPSR) and Virtual Chassis Stacking technologies (VCStack). The EPSR protocol provides high availability to critical applications of data transmission in case of break or failure of the device. Support of VCStack technology allows to integrate physically switches in a stack and to manage it as the uniform virtual device.
The implemented solutions of Allied Telesis for network infrastructure provide the high performance of network, its reliability and fault tolerance, i.e. satisfy with key requirements of large enterprise with staff more than 3.5 thousand people.
In the project remote stacking or LD-VCS (Long Distance VCStack) which represents further development of technology of stacking of VCStack for the purpose of simplification of creation of networks and failure from difficult protocols of control is used. So, the design of network which simplicity in configuring reduces the cost of ownership and a downtime at accidents was offered Sredneuralskiy Copper Smelter. Thanks to the modules AT-x6EM/Xs2 and AT-SP10LR allowing to stekirovat switches at a great distance territorially remote objects of the enterprise got all advantages of local stacking.
"Reliable, failsafe solutions of Allied Telesis company are traditionally used by many Russian metallurgical enterprises. Therefore it is no wonder that the enterprise of this industry - JSC Sredneuralskiy Copper Smelter - became one of the first customers who implemented the newest development of the company - remote stacking of the x610 switches of a series. We hope for further effective cooperation with the largest Ural plant" — Yury Belsky, the director of the Russian representative office of Allied Telesis noted.
