Rostelecom has created a single data network for the State Fiscal Service of Russia

2022: Creation of a unified data network

On August 22, 2022, Rostelecom announced that it had created a single data network and organized secure Internet access for the State Courier Service of the Russian Federation (SFS of Russia). Reliable IT infrastructure united 84 territorial bodies of the department in the regions.

The project was implemented on the basis of Rostelecom's own secure infrastructure. The unified data network provides a common information space for the central office and territorial bodies of the State Fiscal Service of Russia. All divisions also gained access to computing resources and a single storage of data located on the resources of a single cloud platform in Rostelecom data centers. Stable communication channels will become an infrastructure foundation that will ensure the continuity of the key services of the State Fiscal Service of Russia.

Rostelecom has extensive experience in digitalizing geographically distributed departments and has established itself as a reliable digital partner of the state. The use of a single data network and high-speed Internet access open up ample opportunities for solving problems as part of the digital transformation of authorities, noted Mikhail Izotov, Vice President - Director of Government Relations at Rostelecom.

On the basis of a reliable and powerful infrastructure, the State Fiscal Service of Russia will be able to effectively solve current problems and introduce new services to improve the quality of work. The high professionalism of Rostelecom specialists who worked on the creation of a single data transmission network and well-organized working interaction became the main factors of success in the implementation of this project, said Alexander Ivanov, Deputy Director of the State Courier Service of the Russian Federation.

The project was implemented within the framework of Resolutions of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1240 of November 24, 2014 and No. 1114 of August 28, 2019.
