On October 1, 2018 the Schneider Electric company announced creation of a management system for distribution of energy for the network company Stromnetz Berlin providing power supply of Berlin.
The purpose of the joint project – complete replacement within four years of management systems for power network and reduction of number of interruptions in power supply. The solution of the company covers networks of high, medium and low tension and provides integration of the high-standardized advanced management system for electric power distribution (Advanced Distribution Management System, ADMS) developed by Schneider Electric with matching components hardware and the software.
According to the developed management concept the transactions Stromnetz Berlin will create the centralized control system of network of low tension, and switching centers for networks of high and medium voltage will be integrated. The intellectual combination of the existing IT systems with the ADMS components will lead to a high integration scale and automation of information exchange and data, consider in Schneider Electric.
Schneider Electric integrated with EcoStruxure Grid, system architecture based on IT/OT, the EcoStruxure ADMS system proposes to the electric grid companies the complete solution for administration, control, monitoring, the analysis, optimization, planning, modeling and training. The combined model of power network provides effective and steady transactions in each area – from low-voltage power supply networks to electrical power transmission networks.
"We selected the ADMS system from Schneider Electric as the optimal method to achieve our main goal – system implementation of centralized operation by network on all voltage levels. The integrated system solution allows to manage our processes effectively. Thanks to digitalization of network transactions we meet all requirements of power turnover".
