Nhat Tang Bridge in Vietnam was decorated using LED lamps of Philips

The Philips Lighting company announced on August 16, 2017 end together with the Vietnamese construction company Sun Group of the project of lighting of Nhat Tang (Nhật Tân) Bridge through the Songka River.

Description of an object

Extent of Nhat Tang Bridge — 8 kilometers. It connects the city to the International airport Noi Bai and meets all travelers to Hanoi. The bridge consists of five majestic arches which symbolize five ancient gate to the capital. Construction of the facility began in 2015, and in the spring of 2017 Nhat Tang was open for the movement.

Project Results

On five arches of the longest cable-stayed bridge in Vietnam installed modern LED Philips Color Kinetics lamps which are capable to reproduce to 16.7 million flowers. In comparison with standard project solutions, the lighting system from Philips Lighting allows to reduce energy consumption by 75% and to reduce operating costs and maintenance, claim in the company.

16 million flowers of Philips were lit on the horizon of Hanoi

The innovation LED lighting of Philips Lighting allowed to emphasize construction features of Nhat Tang Bridge using 16.7 million flowers of Philips Color Kinetics lamps. The "smart" Philips ActiveSite system which gives the chance far off to control light settings and to monitor a status of light points using cloud computing manages them. Now city authorities can change lighting of the bridge according to holidays or other memorials.
