Softline implemented the system of a proktoring in TyumGU

At the Tyumen state university with assistance of Softline the system of a proktoring Ekzamus for remote holding examinations was implemented. Reported about it to Softline on October 26, 2020. The solution was integrated with the LMS platform of online training existing in university that allowed to monitor at other level the course of a session and entrance tests.

The Tyumen state university – one of federal universities in Ural federal district. TYUMGU for October, 2020 is among participants of Project 5-100 – the program of increase in the international competitiveness of the Russian universities among the leading world scientific and education centers. At the university more than 30 thousand students in 175 directions of preparation study.

TYUMGU already used components of distance learning – for the organization of training events and testings the Moodle online platform was used. In the spring of 2020 in connection with an adverse epidemiological situation before university there was a need of holding a session and entrance examinations completely for a remote format that demanded implementation of additional instruments of control.

TYUMGU asked Sofline for the help in the choice of an optimal solution of a proktoring, from several options existing in the market the solution of Ekzamus company which was possible to be integrated completely with Moodle was selected. During the pilot project including about 220 working hours of a system of a proktoring, forces of specialists of TyumGU and Softline carried out additional tuning of a system for correct work further. The customer remained is completely satisfied with functionality of a system and made the decision on acquisition of an annual subscription on 60 thousand hours with a possibility of further expansion.

A huge number of students and entrants annually takes part in session and entrance tests of TyumGU that requires special attention to the technical organization of process. The system of a proktoring allows to control far off carrying out examined, excepting a possibility of unfair passing of tests. Implementation of this solution will allow university to fulfill the requirements of the Ministry of science and the higher education for counteraction of a pandemic and will become one more step in digital transformation of university, – the head on work with the educational organizations Softline in Ural federal district Vitaly Rostetsky says.
