On December 17, 2019 the LENTA company announced opening of hypermarket in the updated format. The retailer changed traditional arrangement of sections and improved a lighting system, diversified the range and started cafe in a trading floor. In LENTA the following technologies for retail work: touch cash desks with 2 big screens for the buyer and the cashier, modules of acceptance of cash in cafe, a multimedia price-chekery, solutions for self-service.

According to the company, in LENTA hypermarket on Obvodny Canal zoning is thought over: for example, ready food and cafe are at an input, vegetables near meat and fish, cheeses and meat delicacies — with bread and wine. The retailer put emphasis on fresh products which he buys from local farmers or independently imports. Lighting is brighter, light emphases on the most important departments: vegetables and fruit, cookery, fish and wine.

Design of shop locates buyers to a brand — names of departments are noticeable from far away, and additional texts motivate on purchase: "Are glad to ripe fruit", "Tasty. It is useful. Easily", "We select the best sorts", etc. The arrangement of sections is designed taking into account several popular routes: from single purchases on the next few hours to large for a week. Buyers can select routes and methods of service, convenient for them, from shop.

For a classical format of service the retailer set 28 touch cash desks of Set Touch of CSI company.

Everyone consists of two big LCD displays — for the cashier and the buyer. High performance, a user-friendly interface, individual preference of the solution and the bright screen — all this allows the cashier to execute quicker cash transactions and does his work more comfortable in comparison with traditional button cash desk. The second touch display, in addition to basic function of display of the list of goods and the prices, will become the additional communication channel which will allow to show different content, to collect a feedback and also to provide the interactive and personalized service for our buyers. The cash equipment supplement bioptichesky image scanners of Datalogic which instantly read out linear and two-dimensional barcodes of any complexity that is important within the future expansion of categories of the marked products.

For buyers 8 cash desks of self-service work with a small basket. 120 terminals of independent scanning with the solution "TAPE scan" which allow to scan goods directly in a trading floor are offered to clients with large purchases. Purchases can be packed at once, and to make calculation by a convenient method at one of 6 stations of payment. Solutions of a zone of self-service for "TAPE" are implemented by CSI.
