2025: Introduction of Napoleon AI-Driven Replenishment begins
The development company Napoleon IT has launched a large-scale project to automate inventory management for the Group. The Tape project is implementing a replenishment system -. Napoleon AI-Driven Replenishment The transition to this platform became necessary after the departure of the foreign supplier F&R (Forecasting & Replenishment) from the market, which led to significant difficulties in scaling and adapting the existing system to current needs. This was Napoleon IT (Napoleon Aichi) announced on August 19, 2025.
In order to switch to this system, Lenta Group has selected technology partners in the Russian market. Particular attention was paid to the possibilities of automating replenishment processes - it was this unit that required a significant update, since in the current version it depends on many manual adjustments and does not correspond to the scale and dynamics of the business. As a result of the selection, the Napoleon AI-Driven Replenishment platform was chosen, which at the first stage should cover about 60% of the network's operational needs.
The project is designed for two years and will be implemented in stages, the first results from the implementation of the system are expected by the spring of 2026. First of all, the system will be implemented in Super Lenta stores, where the effect of automation is the fastest. Further, the solution will be scaled to other formats of the Group of Companies. This approach allows you to gradually adapt the solution to business processes and minimize operational risks.
| Choosing Napoleon IT as a technology partner for such a large and complex project is not only a high assessment of our expertise, but also a high bar of expectations that we intend to meet. Replenishment automation is one of the most sensitive zones in retail: an error in the forecast or order algorithm is instantly reflected either by an empty shelf or by overstocking. Such projects require not just the implementation of the platform, but deep alignment with the customer's business. Lenta has a large assortment, different store formats and high operating dynamics, and we take all this into account when designing the solution. We are starting to implement our Napoleon AI-Driven Replenishment product and tailor it to specific business processes and network objectives. Our approach is not to reproduce outgoing foreign systems, but to create a flexible, scalable solution that exactly meets the client's tasks, "said Azamat Nirov, Product Director of Forecasting and Replenishment at Napoleon IT. |
| Two years ago, we initiated a comprehensive market assessment and conducted a comprehensive selection of technology partners. The main priority was not the direct reproduction of outdated foreign solutions, but the search for a modern domestic platform that can take into account the specifics of the Russian market and the peculiarities of the internal processes of Lenta Group. The key factors in choosing the Napoleon AI-Driven Replenishment solution are its high flexibility and scalability, allowing you to adapt the platform to various retail formats and the structure of our network, as well as the deep expertise of the Napoleon IT team in the field of demand forecasting and replenishment of inventories. We expect that the partnership and open approach of Napoleon IT to work together, focus on long-term cooperation and readiness to adapt the solution to changing business tasks will ensure the successful implementation of the project and the achievement of sustainable results, "commented Yulia Trusova, Head of Domain Logistics, Lenta Group. |
