Mega-moving: Tatneft replaced EDMS Case with Practice

Within the program of optimization of office processes in Tatneft the electronic document management system of Practician in which more than 16 thousand employees work was introduced, the oil company in the annual report for 2014 reported.

Earlier in Tatneft a progressive tense EDMSCase was used. As of November, 2013, this system was implemented almost in all affiliated enterprises and branches of Tatneft, and the total quantity of jobs exceeded 4500^[1].

Tatneft could not answer the questions of TAdviser connected with migration on new EDMS. In December, 2013 Tatneft in the own edition "Neftyanaya Gazeta" told about the beginning of the project on transition to EDMS "Practice". There it was noted^[2]that Tatneft already for many years successfully uses the system Case which is initially implemented for the purpose of office-work improvement.

Tatneft detected Case "number of significant restrictions" in EDMS

"However a number of significant restrictions of this system and, first of all, lack of online access of employees to documents and to information, considerably reduces the speed and quality of acceptance of management decisions, - it was noted in the newspaper of Tatneft. - With respect thereto now to replace them the new generation of IT projects to which number by right it is possible to carry the EDMS "Practice" developed taking into account practical experience of use of EDMS in the different companies and a number of new requirements which became the standard for upgrade recently comes".

In the same place it was noted that Tatneft is almost ready to complete transition to EDMS "Practice" as on one of "the newest platforms of electronic document management using mobile solutions".

In Electronic Office Systems (EOS) company - EDMS developer Case - told TAdviser that the lack of technological capabilities declared in article in "The oil newspaper" in their system is not true.

"A system has all advanced technologies corresponding to today's customers needs. Therefore we consider that replacement happened within already many years of the transfer of all authorities and structures controlled by the state initiated by the authorities of the republic on EDMS "Practice", - said in EOS Group.
