At the end of September, 2019 Fitbit and FibriCheck announced cooperation in the project which will allow the European users to reveal violations of a rhythm of heart by means of the Fitbit smartwatch within 60 seconds.
Partnership will concern users from Belgium, Holland, Ireland and Great Britain. The project will integrate the software of FibriCheck and SmartWatch Fitbit technology for identification of violations of a warm rhythm, such as fibrillation of auricles.
To software of FibriCheck it is intended for the Fitbit operating system and uses data of sensors of a photoplethysmography for record of a warm rhythm from the user's wrist. Data reading happens within 60 seconds then the program displays the conclusion of Fitbit. At identification of violations of a warm rhythm the user can direct record and the conclusion to the attending physician via the FibriCheck web interface.
The FibriCheck application which is available to users of smartphones since 2016 with a high accuracy reveals fibrillation of auricles according to watch of Fitbit. During clinical trials application of a mixed technology was comparable on accuracy to other modern wearable technologies of removal of the ECG. FibriCheck is going to make this platform available on four different versions of devices of Fitbit at the price of $4.38 a month.
FibriCheck — certified the first in the EU application which will be available on the Fitbit smartwatch. The CEO of FibriCheck Lars Grieten notes that the FibriCheck application is the simple tool in use for all patients at whom heart troubles were noted earlier or which the doctor advised to control a heart rhythm regularly. Besides, the convenient chat allows to contact immediately the health worker at emergence of any problems.[1]
